Construction Engineer / Project Engineer Overseas - Micronesia
Job Overview The Construction Engineer / Project Engineer supports the contractor delivering construction projects across Micronesia for U.S. government projects. Key Responsibilities •Provide field engineering and project engineering support to the Project Manager and Superintendent to execute work safely, on schedule, and in accordance with contract requirements. •Interpret contract documents including plans, specifications, codes, and approved RFIs, and support constructability reviews and field coordination. •Prepare, track, and manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and material or product data, coordinating approvals with designers, vendors, and subcontractors. •Support work planning and progress tracking including look-aheads and daily or weekly coordination, and assist with quantity tracking, pay applications, and field reporting. •Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to resolve technical issues, maintain production flow, and ensure proper installation sequencing. •Support change management by identifying potential change events, developing backup documentation such as quantities and labor or equipment impacts, and assisting with pricing, proposals, and change order execution. •Participate in inspections and testing as applicable to verify work conforms to contract requirements, track deficiencies and punch items, and support closeout documentation. This is a site-based construction superintendent role focused on field execution, trade coordination, safety, quality, and schedule delivery within a secure overseas aviation and industrial construction environment. Role Summary The Construction Superintendent serves as the contractor’s senior on-site construction authority responsible for daily field execution during construction.
